Haiku 1
Blue ribbons fluttering
Birds chirping in the trees
A girl walks briskly by.
Haiku 2
Sitting in the street
in front of the coffeehouse
My arms turn to goose flesh.

Blue ribbons fluttering
Birds chirping in the trees
A girl walks briskly by.

Sitting in the street
in front of the coffeehouse
My arms turn to goose flesh.

The roar of the crowd
The smell of the greasepaint
Always signaled to me
The arrival of the circus
Wringling Brothers
Barnum and Bailey
May have folded
Their tents
But the Clown Show in Washington
Goes on just as intense.

The Bamboo planted
on the bank of the river
calms my restless soul.

Once upon a time in a land far away
In the country of New Jersey
I endeavored to to take my Jersey wife to the ballet.
We also took along my mother-in-law for the ride
Whom I deemed Mother Nature
And we crossed the river to the Philly side.
And there for one brief shining moment
There were two ball busters at the Nutcracker.

Snow Queen

Sleeping Beauty
It was a fairy tale romance…..

Nietzsche in the morning Buddha at night
They kinda counteract each other but keep me upright
One thing they both seek to do is to find the truth
The will to truth is the will to power
When you sit sit when you stand stand
Above all you mustn’t wobble.

First Trump said Obama was the worst president in history
Then he said what a great man he was
Next he will try to sell you a bridge in Brooklyn
Then some swamp land in Florida
He will bark you down like at a gypsy at a carnival
Try to sell you Christmas cards in June
The ship of state ain’t real estate it’s is now a ship of fools.

David at 21C
The clock upbraids me with her time
I was out all night long with the Grand Marquis
First it was Heathers then it was Feathers at 21C
The Red Penguin most naturally
Topped it off with drinks at Jocks
I had bourbon on the rocks
The Grand Marquis had his with coke
We had to leave because we both were broke
I fell into bed and slept til 7 most fitfully
I was out all night long with the Grand Marquis.

621 West Main Street, Louisville, Kentucky

Behind the facade of the false front is the emptiness of the blue sky…
Wild things leave skin behind them, and these are tokens passed from one to another so that the fugitive kind can always follow their kind ~ Tennessee Williams

Trenton makes, the world takes.
I woke up this morning nine stories tall to
the sounds of jack hammers and back up alarms.
Tolling church bells joined the cacophony of
wailing sirens that screamed like demented demons.
The sounds of a city come to life
Trenton, a city of broad backs and stiff pants.
My building is a cuckoo’s nest.
Ah Trenton, ah world, ah so!
