Bronze Sculpture by Itzik Asher
The sculpture, “Journey to the New,” represents the journey of Russian and Ethiopian Jews from their homelands to Israel.
This artwork is currently located at Addison Shopping Plaza in Delray Beach, Florida. Previously it had been on display at Palm Beach International Airport and at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach.
At its current location this sculpture has garnered some controversy because of the nudity it portrays. Parents from the nearby Morikami Elementary School have complained.
The artwork, however, is natural and quite beautiful.
Haha, of course those tender children can’t deal with seeing what a human body looks like! Silly parents…

I’m very careful about what my son’s exposed to (pun intended) but I don’t think I would’ve complained about this. They’re not offensive or provocative. Interesting sculptures.
